Profhilo is fantastic treatment which uses a highly pure grade of hyaluronic acid, with the absence of any additives which offers great safety and minimal side effects. It is a great treatment to revitalise dull and tired skin. It nourishes skin cells and restores firmness of the skin. It can be used as a 'stand-alone treatment', or in combination with other injectable facial aesthetic treatments (e.g. Botox and dermal fillers).

Profhilo uses a bioremodelling approach, which acts directly on skin laxity. Profhilo works via a dual action:
Due to a balanced concentration of low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, which stimulates natural hyaluronic acid production.
Due to high molecular weight hyaluronic acid which improves skin laxity, remodels the face and decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Hyaluronic acid is traditionally found in dermal fillers. The difference between Profhilo and traditional dermal fillers, is the hyaluronic acid in Profhilo is thermally bonded (unlike with traditional dermal fillers which are chemically bonded) and therefore Profhilo is more of 'a hydrator than a filler'. It is a very smooth product, with an almost honey like consistency whereas traditional fillers can be prone to lumpiness. Traditional fillers are used to give volume or contours to parts of the face.
Profhilo is a relatively new and innovative product but has already won the 2016 'Aesthetic Awards product Innovation of the Year, the 2016 'Commendation Aesthetics Awards Injectable Product of the Year' and the 2015 'Anti-Ageing & Beauty Trophy for 'Best Skin Enhancement Product'' at the AMEC Congress in Paris, France.
We are currently offering free consultations for Profhilo to see if it can work for you. Profhilo involves 2 treatments 4 weeks apart. Each treatment costs £300 and involves 5 injections per side of the face.
We can apply numbing cream before the treatment to make it more comfortable, however we use very fine needles with minimal discomfort. There will be small localised bumps straight after treatment which will go away later the same day.
Effects will last for 6 months.
Down time is minimal, but we advise against wearing make up after treatment and avoiding physical strain for 24 hours after treatment. Profhilo is a very safe and effective treatment, and since its launch in 2015 no adverse reactions have been reported worldwide.
